Today was our first Coaching call of 2025. The Empowered Project officially kicks off in March, but we spent time today getting clear on what needs to happen between now and then to be ready to take flight once it starts.

It’s funny how I can feel completely lost and unsure about what goals I should set for myself, but as soon as I share with Sage where my head is, she can bring it into laser focus.

Here are my clear goals for the next couple of months in order to set myself up to meet my ultimate 2025 goal: Publish my book.

By the end of January, I will have read over the entire first draft (taking notes along the way). Then in February I will begin incorporating those notes into a second draft. We will see how far along I am when March arrives to assess how much more time will be spent in 2nd and/or 3rd draft. I don’t know all of the steps between, but I hope to be at the point of sending my manuscript to beta readers and/or a copy editor by the end of August when the Empowered Project ends.

I’m starting to actually get my head around the idea that I can (and will) reach this goal. It is so very helpful to have the support of a coach and community. I don’t know that I could do it on my own. I feel like I was stumbling around in the dark, unsure of where the things I needed were located. Sure, sometimes I found them, but not always when I needed them. And it certainly wasn’t efficient. Now, with the guidance from Sage, I feel as if I have a flashlight helping me to find my way, but leaving enough in shadow to keep me focused on the things I need right now instead of getting distracted by all there is to come.

I am going to attempt to keep a record for myself of how things are progressing each week. I know that I’m pretty scattered when it comes to updating this blog, but I want to be more intentional. Eventually, I know I’ll need to promote my book, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to exercise my sharing muscles now.

I’m curious. What would others be interested in knowing about my progress? If you have a suggestion, please share!
