I had intended to write an update on Friday, but the day got away from me. It turned out much busier than anticipated. But not in a bad way, necessarily. Just in a one thing after another way.
Even with the unexpected busyness, I managed to get some work done on Draft 2. I finally finished the rewrite of the chapter I had scrapped and moved to the next chapter. It had way more to keep than change, so I was able to get that whole chapter done in one sitting and start on another. To make things easier for me in my next session, I highlighted the problematic portions and just concentrated on the quick fixes for the time being.
I’ve been sticking to the goal of 3 one-hour sessions each week and have found that sometimes I could actually fit in more, but don’t. Not sure if that means I should add another day to my weekly goal or if I should use that as reading/research time. Probably the latter.
I’ve been wanting to read some RPGfic to get a look at how others handle the cross between the RPG and “real” world. I snagged a few from Kindle Unlimited, but haven’t read any yet. Perhaps I need to designate a day for reading?
Tuesday will be our Meet & Greet for TEP, then we officially kick off March 1st. It felt so far away before and now it’s hard to believe it’s here! I’m farther along in Draft 2 than I thought I’d be, which is good. I’m so glad that Sage helped me keep the momentum going. I’m looking forward to seeing how things will ramp up once TEP is underway.
I’ll declare it now. My measurable goal for the week will be 3 one-hour Draft 2 sessions and reading at least 1 RPGfic book. I have some non-writing goals as well, but won’t go into them here. Friday, I’ll check in with how everything went.
Have a great week!
