As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I got so much out of my time with Sage in Book in 90 that I decided to continue working with her in The Empowered Project. It officially starts in March, but truthfully, we’re already working towards the goals we’ve set for ourselves.
The last five days, Sage has been leading a course called Chaos is Canceled. She’s partially using it to entice more women to join the Empowered Project, but it’s been helpful even for those of us already signed up for TEP. I have realized that I would like to expand my goal to include a bit more than just the book.
Yes, I want to have my book complete by the end of TEP (part 1 of my quest for wholeness). But I am also seeking to improve my mental and physical health (part 2). With this in mind, I plan to schedule time for exercise and self-care, just like I’ve done for writing.
Each week, I hope to update this page with my progress. I’ll mostly focus on Part 1 for this blog, but please know that I will also be updating about Part 2.
This week’s update:
Part 1 – I’ve been completely rewriting a chapter of RPG, which is taking quite a while. It’s frustrating that it’s taking me so long, but I also like what I’m writing much more than what I had before. I will be coworking with the other TEP gals in just a little while. If I could finish this chapter, I’d be super happy.
Part 2 – I made it to water aerobics twice this week and purchased a mini-fridge for my office to keep me from eating out so much. I’ve also started taking the long way to get to the restroom in an effort to add steps to my day. It’s tiny, but it’s doable. I’m hoping to work my way up to doing even more. I also made appointments with my cardiologist and primary care to get checkups.
Overall, I am happy with my efforts this week. I think it will be good for me to check in here to focus on what I have accomplished rather than what I didn’t do. I’ve also purchased a planner that will hopefully help me keep things organized. Of course, how many planners have I bought over the years just to have them collect dust? Here’s hoping that the accountability of TEP will be enough to keep me going!
